The Basic Rider Course(BRC), Intermediate Rider Training(IRT), and Experienced Rider Courses(ERC) are offered through Puget Sound Safety with whom we have partnered with to provide you a one-stop process where Destination Harley-Davidson provides you with the added support of a knowledgeable and caring staff. Right at our location we will sign you up, take payment and provide you with all class information needed to be successful. Also by signing up with us, you will be taking the class with some other riders of similar riding experience that share your enthusiasm for Harley-Davidson® Motorcycles.
Classes Offered
Basic Rider Course
The Basic Rider Course is designed for the person with little or no riding experience, as well as returning riders. This course includes 16 hours of instruction, both in the classroom and on the range. You will learn the basic skills needed to ride safely as well as gain your endorsement with successful completion of a written and skills test (optional).
Intermediate Rider Training
The Intermediate Rider Training is designed for returning riders to take a 1-day training course on smaller training motorcycles. Riders must be comfortable with the basic controls of the motorcycle and be able to demonstrate starting, stopping, shifting, and turning. This 1-day option includes both classroom discussion and range practice. This is a great alternative for riders looking to get their endorsement but already know the basics.
Experienced Rider Course
The Experienced Rider Course is designed for the person with a minimum of 90 days and 3,000 miles of riding experience. Even if you’ve been riding for some time, there is always something new to learn. Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental skills needed for survival in traffic. This course includes 6 hours of on range instruction done on your own motorcycle. Make sure you get your insurance discount for taking this class.
